Tip of the week:Why I Use Micro Rings to Hold Darts in Place

When fitting a mesh hair system, darts need to stay exactly where you place them. If they shift while you’re sewing, the fit can be thrown off and you often end up adjusting or even starting again.
Clips are commonly used to hold darts in position, but on very fine hair they can slip and move. That’s why I use micro rings instead.
✨ Secure hold – Micro rings grip gently but firmly, keeping darts in place even on finer hair.
✨ Time saving – With no slipping, you can sew without stopping to readjust.
✨ More precise finish – The darts stay exactly where you’ve placed them, creating a neater, bespoke fit.
✨ Flexible placement – If you change your mind, the micro rings can easily be adjusted before sewing — giving you full control over the placement.
It might seem like a small detail, but using micro rings instead of clips to hold darts in place has made my fittings smoother, easier, and more reliable.
