What Happens at a Mesh Integration Maintenance Appointment?
If you’re considering mesh integration hair replacement, one of the questions you might have is what happens after your system has been fitted.
Hair replacement isn’t something we fit once and then forget about. As your own hair continues to grow, your system needs regular maintenance to keep it secure, comfortable and sitting correctly.
At Bespoke Hair Replacement in Morley, Leeds, we normally recommend maintenance appointments approximately every four weeks.
Why does mesh integration need maintenance?
A mesh integration system works alongside your own hair. Your natural hair continues to grow underneath and through the system, so over time the fitting naturally moves away from the scalp.
Regular appointments allow us to adjust the system and make sure everything continues to feel comfortable and secure. They also give us the opportunity to keep an eye on your own hair and make any adjustments needed to the fitting.
What happens at an adjustment appointment?
During your regular maintenance appointment, we work through the attachment points and adjust the system as your own hair grows.
We’ll also check how the system is sitting, talk to you about anything you’ve noticed since your previous appointment and make any small changes that may be needed.
Many of our clients also choose to have their hair washed and styled as part of their appointment. Once you’ve had your system for a while, these appointments simply become part of your normal hair routine.
What is a realignment?
As well as your regular adjustments, mesh integration systems occasionally need a more thorough realignment. At BHR, this is normally carried out around every third maintenance appointment.
This allows us to reposition the system properly and make sure the fit continues to work with your own hair as it grows. Your individual maintenance schedule will always be explained to you before fitting.
Will I know how to look after my hair at home?
Yes. One of the things we spend time on at BHR is making sure you understand how to live with your new hair once you leave the salon.
We’ll show you how to wash it, style it and look after it at home, as well as explaining what to avoid. And you don’t need to remember everything on your first day — if something comes up afterwards that you’re unsure about, you can ask us.
Considering mesh integration hair replacement?
There isn’t one hair replacement method that suits every woman. The right option depends on your hair loss, the hair you still have, the coverage you need and what you want the finished result to look and feel like.
We offer private consultations at our salon in Morley, Leeds, where we can look at your hair and talk you through the options available without any pressure to go ahead.
